I won tickets to a sold-out Vacationer / Bombay Bicycle Club show last week. It was amazing.

My music website The Spec has given me the opportunity to do a lot of cool things. With that said, I sometimes get so consumed with music for work that I miss out on listening to artists I know and love. Hence my tardy infatuation with Bombay’s 2011 releaseĀ A Different Kind of Fix.
Any way, I saw BBC live and it’s worth mentioning that Jack Steadman is a joy to watch. I’ve never seen a musician so happy to be on stage. It’s refreshing. I have been listening to the band nonstop since the show. It’s to the point where I have trouble falling asleep because “Shuffle” is stuck in my head and I’ve had a few “private sessions” with Spotify because if people knew how much I listened to some of the songs on repeat, they’d legitimately be concerned.
The days since the show last week are a testament to the power of music. It can be uplifting.
